Birthday photo session

We let Leyna stuff her face with more cake so we could get some cute pics at my sister Brooke's photo studio. She did such an awesome job! Thank you Brooke! Leyna's Birthday Party

So before I ever got pregnant or had a kid, I swore I wouldn't go all out for my baby's first birthday. I thought it was crazy to spend a lot and do all that work when they don't even remember....Man did I eat my words!!! I just want to do anything and everything for my little baby girl. For her first birthday we had a birthday party on Thursday May 21 at Chuck E. Cheese's. We invited our family and some friends who have little ones as well. I was a little stressed out before, but it turned out very well. I was very pleased and I think Leyna really enjoyed herself. Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate this wonderful day with us!

On the rides. She loved the rides. This one was by far her favorite. When I would try and get her off she would nod her head no. I would let her go again and try and get her off, but she still wanted to stay on it.

Her second favorite. When we took her off the swing she would get upset until she got on the carousel.

She loves anything with a steering wheel. She thinks it's the coolest.

SUPER STAR

It was such a late night. Leyna missed her second nap so she was getting really tired at the end of the party. I thought when we got home she would be ready to crash, but instead she decided she wanted to run all around the parking lot with her balloons. She was so wired from all the sugar she had. It was so funny watching her. She had soooo much energy!

Time for bed my Beautiful Angel! When you wake up in the morning you will be a BIG ONE YEAR OLD!

I still can't believe exactly a year ago I was in labor and waiting to for Leyna to come. The whole night I was thinking about what I was doing last year at that time. It's crazy that a year has already come and gone, but I guess time flies when you are having fun, and every second with Leyna is so much fun!

These are just ones I can think of. She has repeated after me her colors, and different foods.

Her favorite song used to be patty cake, which she still loves, but her new favorite is "Popcorn Popping". She likes the hand motions and is trying to figure out how to do them. It's so cute watching her try to learn new things. She is starting to hum along with me when I sing her songs or when she is holding her baby.

Future Model

She loves her baby! She just randomly started loving her baby or any kind of doll. She puts them on her shoulder and pats their back and start humming to them. It is the cutest thing! It's so cute that little girl just naturally have that motherly instinct.

Leyna pulled out the pan from the oven drawer and then climbed in it. She seems to like to climb into things. You are so stinking cute baby girl! She is so entertaining and funny.

Happy One Year my Beautiful Angel! I can't believe you are already a year old. Time goes by so fast. You amaze me everyday with everything you are learning. You have such a cute personality. I can't wait to watch and see all the new thing you will learn and do in the years to come. What a blessing it is to be a mommy, especially to such a wonderful little angel like you. I don't know what I would do without you, but I do know I would be very bored. =0) You keep me busy, but I love it. I enjoy every minute we get to spend together. You are always making me smile or laugh. Every time I look at you I am in aww by how beautiful, cute, adorable, and perfect you are. Sometimes I feel like I can't get enough of you and want to go wake you up at night and cuddle you and have you be next to me. You're such a blessing in our lives. You bring so much joy and happiness into our home. I thank our Heavenly Father everyday and night for blessing us with you in our lives. And I pray also that you will always have the desire to do whats right, and always remember your Father in Heaven, who loves you and wants nothing but the best for you. You have taught me unconditional love. I hope as you grow older you will always know of the love your Daddy and I have for you, and always will. Our lives wouldn't be complete without you.
