Millions of Pictures...literally

So I decided to just post tons of pics of Leyna. I seriously take a couple pictures almost each and every day. =) She is just so cute I can't resist. Anytime she is in a new outfit or doing something new I always have to take a picture...or 2...or 3...or more. We can't get enough of her. Well hope you all enjoy seeing her as much as we do! =)
1st WEEK
First Family Picture

First day out. She was 2 days old and we went to the park for my brother's birthday.

One week old at our niece's graduation. After the graduation she did a poopie so I changed her diaper in the back of the car. While I was changing her she decided to do another poopie. She blew poop all over me. I don't know how something so small could be so powerful! That hasn't been the only time either. It was diffidently the worst, but she has done an explosion a lot and it always seems to be when her diaper is off.

Smiling for Grandma.
Caiden just loves her...Almost too much.

2nd WEEK

Alaura loves holding her.

Kinda taking a binkie. She isn't much of a binkie baby. She gags so you'll take it out of her mouth.

Tummy Time

She wasn't real crazy about the swing. I guess she takes after me, I get sick on swings and hated them as a baby. But now she'll go in it more.

3rd WEEK

First time seeing Grandpa. 2 1/2 weeks old

Grandpa (BaBa) with his two grand babies. Aren't they adorable!

Holding her 1st baby doll from Grammy Marilyn (Great Grammy to her)

Her first bath. 2 1/2 weeks old

Juan multitasking. Playing his PS2 and holding Leyna

I love this picture!

4th WEEK

Fathers Day!

Happy 1st Father's Day!

So adorable! This is how Brooke woke up Alaura from her nap one day we were over there. Stretching and waking up
First time she found her thumb. She finally got mad at it right after I took this picture. She wanted to nurse and that was it!

5th WEEK

She is still a lil to small for it. =) But she still looks cute.

In her bouncer. She loves this thing. Turn on the vibrator and rock her and she is out.

1 Month Old!

Little Angel

Most recent pictures of Leyna. Taken Saturday June 28. Isn't she soooo beautiful?!?!

I know it was a lot. I had so many pictures I wanted to share. I will make sure I don't go a month and a half next time with out blogging. Hope you all enjoyed! I'll post more pics soon.

Labor & Delivery

So here is my labor and delivery story that so many of you wanted to hear. I didn't think I would have anything interesting to tell but I was wrong...

leaving to the hospital

To begin, on Tuesday May 20th I was about to write a blog saying how I was so anxious and how it felt like she was never gonna come (little did I know). I had been having a lot of braxton hicks contractions during the day, but as soon as I would lay in bed at night everything would stop. Well, that night they didn't stop. I was having contractions all that night. Then all day Wednesday I was having contractions, but they weren't anything real hard and they weren't that close so I just went on with my day. We went grocery shopping, I cleaned my apartment, didn't really sit down all day. I was hoping if I was having real contractions I needed to keep moving to help them progress. Well they were progressing, but still not 5minutes apart, which to me meant they were real and it was time. So Juan made a huge dinner, which we both chowed down on (You're not supposed to eat when you're in labor, but I didn't know I was). Then we watched tv and munched on watermelon. Well, the contractions were getting a lil harder, but were still not consistent, so I went to take a bath hoping that would calm everything down because if it wasn't true labor I wanted to sleep. Well almost the second I got in the bath they were closer, 3-6 minutes apart, and getting harder. We called the birthing center and when I told her about my contractions she asked if I was having a blooding discharge, and I was. She said we needed to come right now. So we packed up the car and headed to the hospital. By this time it was 1am. When we got there the security guard wheeled my in a wheel chair to the birthing center. It was a pretty fun ride. They check me in and I was already dilated to a 4 and about 90% effaced. By then those contractions were getting pretty uncomfortable. Within 45 minutes I got an epidural, which was not bad at all. After that everything was great.

Me feeling good after the epidural

We tried to get some rest, but I couldn't sleep with all beeping machines and monitors, but Juan was snoring away. =) At 3am we called family to let them know it would be a few hours, because I was dilating pretty fast. At 8am I was fully dilated 100% effaced and the baby had dropped even more to a +1 or +2, but my water hadn't broken yet. We called family to make sure they were coming and cus it was gonna be any minute pretty much. My dr. got there a lil after 8am and broke my water. I asked him if I could wait to start pushing cus my family still wasn't there and Brooke, Jami and my Mom were supposed to be in the room to help and take pictures. So he left and came back about an hour later.

Excited and ready for Leyna to come

Mean while, once my family got there the nurse had me start pushing. It was so weird cus I could feel pressure, but that was it. Epidurals are the best!!! Once she said you could see the head and that there was a lot of hair she told Juan to look, so he did. Then we continued pushing and Juan looks at me and said he didn't feel good. He was at my side holding my leg up as I was pushing. He called Brooke over to take his place. He then looked at me and he was white as a ghost. Then suddenly he started falling over almost on top of me. Luckily Brooke was there to catch him and steer him away and he slid down on the floor. MY HUSBAND FAINTED!!! I was so scared! I started crying and going hysterical while everyone else was laughing about it. It was kinda hard to laugh while I'm sitting here having our baby and I didn't know if he was even gonna be able to be by my side...He came to within a few seconds. But I was still in shock. Everyone was trying to calm me down, while my husband is on the floor. Once he was laying on the floor he opened his eyes and said "whoa, that was weird." Everyone was laughing, even him, but not me. Finally they got him up and sat him in a chair next to me, and got him some food. They weren't sure if he fainted cus of the lack of food or if it was to sight of me pushing out a baby. Either way once he was better they wouldn't let him look at her coming out again. =) At 9am my dr. came back. After 30 minutes of pushing, with a snip(epesiotomy) and 1 or 2 more pushes, on Thursday, May 22 @ 9:09am our lil angel, Leyna, was born. She was born not making a sound, but then the dr. made her cry. It was such an awesome, beautiful thing so see my baby girl for the first time. When we looked back at the video, Juan was just smiling so big, and was balling. She was so perfect and beautiful. Juan got to cut the cord and they laid her on my stomach and the second she laid on me she peed. (Little did we know that was a taste of what was to come. She is a pee monster. Almost every time her diaper is off she pees, and she does a poopie a lot too.) =)

Recovery has gone well. Now I just can't wait till she sleeps longer through the night, so I can actually get some sleep...Besides the lack of sleep, we are enjoying every minute of this beautiful daughter of God. She has such a sweet spirit and is so cute. You can't look at her without smiling. =) Especially when she is smiling back at you.
