Leyna's 3 months old

I'm horrible at keeping my blog updated. Sorry! Another month has passed since I last posted pics or anything. So I am attempting to get at least a couple pics posted. Hopefully Leyna will give me a couple minutes. I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a Mom, but it diffidently takes a lot of time. Nursing is the most time consuming, but I know it is the best thing for her and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Anyways, Leyna is 3 months old now and getting so big. I'm just loving every minute of it! She is the cutest thing. She now sleeps through most the night. She sleeps atleast 6 hours then another 4. She even slept 10 hours one night! But last week she was sleeping only 4 hour at a time, but is now back to 6+ hours. When I was pregnant everyone told me to enjoy sleeping in, because I wouldn't be able to when she was born...Well, I still get to sleep to 9, sometimes even 10 or 11. I love my sleep and apparently she takes after me. =) Thank goodness!

Leyna is such a happy baby. She is smiling and laughing so much more now. She talks all the time. I can't ever look at her and not smile, because she is always smiling back at you. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect baby!

Here's Leyna after she got her first shots a month ago. It was so sad, but they gave her cute "My Little Pony" bandaids. Now we go in again tomorrow for more shots. =( I don't like them!

She finally started reaching out and grabbing her toys. She grabs them and tries to bring it to her face. I don't know if you can tell, but she pulled the whole thing down on her face. It was so funny watching her do this over and over again.

We call her bubbles because she is always blowing bubbles out of her mouth and then she just lets them sit there.

Saying Good-bye

Here's Leyna saying good bye to Caiden and "BaBa" (grandpa). My family moved to Utah almost a month ago. I can't believe it's already been that long.We were sad to see you guys go, but we are excited for you at the same time. We hope to move there soon (within the next year hopefully). Can't wait to visit you guys for Thanksgiving!

This time Brooke, Alaura and Jami came to visit Juan and I at our hotel. Us girls all went to the beach while Juan had to work. It was a lot of fun. Leyna got out a little more this time. But she still didn't like it because the wind. Poor baby.

After a fun day playing at the beach we got some dinner and then went walking around the shopping mall. Here we are in front of the Pier.
Alaura and "Baby Yeyna". She is so cute with her. She is gonna be such a good big sister! This was the first time I put Leyna's hair up in a pony tail. She looked like such a big girl.

Alaura put on her daddy's shoes so she could go outside. I just thought it was cute.

Six Consequences If Proposition 8 Fails

1. Children in public schools will be taught that both traditional marriage and same-sex marriage are okay.The California Education Code already requires that health education classes instruct children about marriage. (§51890)Therefore, if the definition of marriage is changed, children will be taught that marriage is a relation between any two adults. There will be serious clashes between the secular school system and the right of parents to teach their children their own values and beliefs.

2. Churches will be sued if they refuse to allow same-sex marriage ceremonies in their religious buildings that are open to the public. Ask whether your pastor, priest, minister, bishop, or rabbi is ready to perform such marriages in your chapels and sanctuaries.

3. Religious adoption agencies will be challenged by government agencies to give up their long-held right to place children only in homes with both a mother and a father. Catholic Charities in Boston has already closed its doors because of the legalization of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts.

4. Religions that sponsor private schools and which provide housing for married students will be required to provide housing for same-sex couples, even if it runs counter to church doctrine, or lose tax exemptions and benefits.

5. Ministers who preach against same-sex marriages will be sued for hate speech and could be fined by the government. It has already happened in Canada, one of six countries that have legalized gay marriage.

6. It will cost you money. A change in the definition of marriage will bring a cascade of lawsuits. Even if courts eventually find in favor of a defender of traditional marriage (highly improbable given today’s activist judges), think of the money – your money, your church contributions – that will have to be spent on legal fees.And think of all the unintended consequences that we cannot even foresee at this time.

Living the "Suite" Life

So Juan went back to work about 2 weeks ago. (I started this like a week or two ago and never finished. So its been almost 4 weeks now) For those of you that don't know, his job requires a lot of traveling and staying out of town. Luckily Leyna and I get to tag along with him (other wise we would never see him). We get to stay in nice hotels and everything is paid for by his work. It's so nice. It's almost like we are always on vacation. This trip we are down south in a town call Chatsworth. It's close to so many fun things to do. We are a little less than 30 minutes from the beach, and Universal Studios (both of which we have been able to go to).

Last time we went I was pregnant so I had to ride in the still chairs. This time Juan got to hold Leyna in the still chairs and I got to actually ride it.

We had so much fun! We got to go on all the rides and everything. They have a thing called "child switch". One person waits in line and when they get off the ride the other person gets to walk right on ahead of everybody. It was a great day, but I'm sure Leyna won't remember a thing. She slept most of the day anyways. =)

2 Months old and her first trip to the beach. She didn't seem to like it much though. It was kinda windy so when the wind would hit her face she would gasp. We just kept her covered most of the time.

My wonderful sister, Brooke, took our first family portrates and Leyna's birth announcement pics. She was 12 days old in these...Now that I think about it, these were taken on her due date, June 3.

Don't you just love the little outfit?! The skirt is size newborn and I still had to pin the waist. She was so tiny. =)
