Baby Shower #2

My sisters, mom and Ann Herman put together an awesome baby shower! Thank you everyone who came. It was a lot of fun! Thank you to Brooke especially since she did so much to make it perfect! Here's some pictures of all the hard work they put in and of all the fun we had...

There was a full house...kinda cramped, sorry everyone.

All my favorites! Chocolate strawberries, brownies, and cheese cake (which Brooke made, and was delicious).

Do I really have to smell, touch and inspect the diapers? Eeww!!!

I love being pregnant at the same time as so many other women. I think there were 6 big belly pregnant women there at the shower. Here's three of them all in a row.

Whats a Baby Shower without babies? There were so many cute lil babies there!

I got so many great gifts. I felt like I was opening gifts forever. Lots of adorable outfits! She is gonna look so cute! Can't wait to see her in everything...

Perfect ending to a perfect night...Juan came at the end and brought me beautiful pink roses and then loaded ALL the stuff into the car. What a great husband!!! He's gonna be a great dad too!

Maternity Photos

Brooke is trying to get into photography and I got to be a lucky one for her to practice on. She took some amazing maternity pictures. You wouldn't ever guess she hasn't been doing it for a while. Thank you Brooke. They are so awesome!

Here's a couple of them

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

I turned 23 on April 13th. It was a fun birthday. On Saturday My whole family went out to a Tepenyaki (I don't know how you spell it) Restaurant, Japanese food where they cook in front of you. I love those places! They are so much fun! If you haven't been to one before I would totally suggest it. Way worth the money.

The cook made the rice into a heart and put a candle in it and everyone sang to ME!

Alaura didn't like all the noise the cook made with the utensils or the fire. Caiden thought it was pretty cool though. Last year we went to the same restaurant and it was the complete opposite. Caiden was so scared and Alaura liked it. Funny how things change...

A volcano made from an onion.

Isn't she so cute! Trying to use chop sticks...

The cook puts the rice in a bowl and throws it to you and it lands right in your hand. It's so coo!

The girls, minus Courtney, who decided not to go at the last minute. Missed you Courtney, you really missed out.

The whole family (minus Courtney) with nice full bellies after dinner. Thank you everyone for coming and sharing the fun with me on my birthday. Love you guys!

More Birthday Fun!

On my birthday we went to my parents house and they made me a delicious dinner. Then we tried making chocolate molten cakes (like they have @ Chili's). They didn't look so pretty, but they tasted very good! Thank you everyone for everything!

I got lots of pretty maternity clothes for my birthday and something cute for Leyna.

Baby Shower #1

Juan's family through me a baby shower back in the beginning of April. It was a lot of fun! Lots of funny games and great food. Mexicans always have to bbq for any event, I diffidently am not complaining, I love the food! Juan's sisters put so much work into it, and it turned out great! Thank you guys!
Here's some pics...

Don't you love the thing around my neck. They made me wear it. It's some mexican tradition, I forget what it's call, but it was fun to have something different. =)

Most of the gang. Some people had to leave early.

It's so funny watching grown women drink out of bottles, and let me tell you, they chugged those bottles pretty fast.

Everyone had to guess how big my belly was with toilet paper. I think it was 10 squares.

We're both due almost the same day...she actually is due 2 days after me.

My wonderful hubby helping take all our wonderful, cute gifts to the car.

Mommy's Day

HAPPY MOMMY'S DAY!!!

To all you wonderful moms out there! You are all examples to me! I don't know how you all do it, but I guess I'm gonna be figuring that out here pretty soon... =)

Hope you all have a great day! Love you guys!

I Love You Mom!

Just wanted to let my mom know how much I really love her and appreciate her! I truely think I have the best mom. I am so grateful to her for every sacrifice she has made for us and for the example she has set. As I've gotten older and am getting close to being a mom myself, I have realized and understand why she did the things she did.

Like not letting me stay out all hours of the night...because she loves me.

Or making me go to school when I didn't want to...because she loves me.

Grounding me when I did something wrong...because she loves me.

Waking me up for church every Sunday...because she loves me.

I have come to realize more that a mom truely wants what is best for their kids (they are not just trying to make our lives miserable). I am who I am today because of my wonderful mom. Thank you, mom, for the unconditional love, staying strong and putting your foot down when something didn't feel right, and for being an example in leading me in the right way. You're a great mom and I hope I can follow in your footsteps. You are the best! I love you!!!

Where does time go?

Sorry this is kinda a long post...

I can't believe how fast time has gone by. I remember when we first found out we were pregnant and it felt like it was so far away for her to be born...well it's almost time and I can't believe it. I remember being so anxious to finally get that pregnant belly and not just look like I like to eat, and that belly is all here now! I wanted to get everything done in the nursery months before she would be born so I wouldn't have to worry about it when time got close, but here I am 3 weeks before she's due and it still isn't finished. I thought I had plenty of time, but that time has just flown by!

I went to the doctor's yesterday and got my first "fun" internal exam and I was shocked to hear that she has dropped and I'm dilated to about a 1. I was shocked, but its good because things are going as they are supposed to be. At the same time it put me into way crazy freak out mode. I still have so much to do and it made me realize that she really could be here any day. I was planning on getting so much done this past week, but things always seem to get in the way. Monday I was able to do some stuff, but I just can't move as fast as I used to before I had this big belly. Then on Tuesday I was out with my mom getting our hair cut and doing her nails, and then we celebrated Eric's birthday that night, so there went that day. That night when I got home I was feeling really sick and I kept waking up like every hour feeling really sick. Then I woke up and found out that almost everyone in my family was sick too. Great! We didn't know if we got food poisoning or if it was a flu. It hit all of us at the same time, so it seemed like food poisoning because we all ate at Brooke and Eric's that night. Brooke and Eric weren't sick though (I think they poisoned us) ;-) jk. Brooke was so worried that she got everyone sick, but it seemed like more of a stomach bug as time went on. Well all day Wednesday I was stuck in bed feeling like crap. I ended up throwing up twice. Only the babies, Caiden and Alaura, were the other ones that threw up. I got to be one of the lucky ones to get hit hard with it. When night came I still felt really sick and then I started contracting a lot(every few minutes from like 8pm-2am). It was not fun. I took a bath hoping that would calm it down and it helped. After 2 am I finally slept a lot better. Thursday I still didn't feel 100%. I still felt exhausted and had no appetite. I didn't get much done but some laundry and make dinner. It was so frustrating! Friday I went to the doctor's and then when I got home I started tearing apart all my cupboards and stuff. For some reason I feel like I have to have everything completely organized in my whole apartment, plus I'm trying to make more space for all her stuff, cus we are very limited on space here. So I'm probably making more work for my self than I should, but I'm just a nut like that... =)

Last night Juan and I picked up some food and went to the park and had a picnic. It was nice to get out. Then we went walking around. I always thought it was funny when I heard that women would say that they felt like the baby was gonna drop out. It's a funny way to put it, but the pressure of the baby's head really causes that feeling and I felt that the whole time we were walking. Pregnancy is such a crazy thing. The things us women have to go through to bring a baby into this world. =) Over all though I am feeling pretty good. Not feeling real uncomfortable. The main thing is that I am still feeling real exhausted and feel like I have to take a break every 15-30 minutes of doing stuff. I thought the end would be the worst part, but I felt way worse in the beginning. Hopefully things will continue to go so smooth. My doctor's says he thinks it seems like I could have an easy labor. I sure hope so! I guess we'll see soon, hopefully not too soon though, I'm not ready. =) Hopefully I don't put myself into early labor...

Here's a picture of me at the park last night. Juan said I look bigger in the pic than I really am, but maybe he was just trying to be nice. =)
