County Fair

So I'm a month late on posting about the fair as well, but I just had to put some of the pictures up. I love going to the fair! I mostly love going for the food! Yummy! I stuff my face so much when we go to the fair. Leyna and I got to go twice this year. We went with Juan and then again with my sister Brooke and her little girl Alaura. It was a lot of fun both times. Juan and I went on opening day. We didn't necessarily go on opening day because we were so anxious to go, which we were too, but we mostly went cus you got in free on that day if you got there early. That just meant we had more money to spend on fair food! =) When I was younger my family would never buy fair food, we would eat before. So now I just go crazy when I go and try everything.

All of us at the hypnotist show (the other main reason I go to the fair, this guy is hilarious!)
Juan with Leyna. I think this pic is funny because that guy behind them is looking right at the camera.
Juan tried to get hypnotised but no such luck. He's gone up 3 times over the past two year and just can't seem to go under. Man it would have been so funny seeing him up there. I think he's giving up on trying now. Three strikes, your out!

They had a turkey race. It was so funny! There's food in the truck so they run after it. Very amusing. =)

Leyna and I after the turkey races. The sun was in her eyes and she didn't like it.

She needed these for the picture above. =) Doesn't she look so cool?

TRIP #2 TO THE FAIR (with Brooke and Alaura this time)

This time we got in for FREE again. We went for preschool day or something like that. They opened the fair early in the day for younger kids to go. So this trip we got to look at all the animals. It was a lot of fun. I would have to say the highlights were this one goat and seeing a baby cow being born.

No, I didn't like the goat that much to where I wanted to kiss it. I was trying to get Alaura to act like she was gonna kiss it, but Brooke took a pic of me instead.

Leyna thought the animals were interesting...And NO she is not really touching that goat.

The goat wanted Brooke's skirt. It was so funny! It kept sticking it's head out as far as it could to get her. Alaura did not like that it was eating her mommy's skirt. That's her reaching to save her mommy.

Still trying to get Brooke

Here's the cow having a baby. I don't know if you can tell, but those are the hooves coming out. It looked so painful!

We didn't know how long it was gonna take so we went and looked at some other animals and then when we came back she had already had the baby. Can you believe how big that baby is?! Ouch!
Just some goofy pics
Isn't she so cute?!?

4 months

I know I'm a month late, but I still had to do a post. Sorry I took so long.

Before her Dr. appt

When we went to Leyna's 4 month appt. she weighed 12 lbs. 13oz. which puts her in the 25% for her weight. She only gained a few ounces since last month, but the dr. said that was fine. She grew another inch. She was 25 in. long which put her in the 75% for her height. Everything went really well at that visit, except we found out Leyna needed physical therapy because her head tilts to the right. She got two shots and the oral vaccine. She didn't cry with the first shot, she just looked at me, but she gave a sad little whimper with the second one. Overall she does really well with the shots, which makes it A LOT easier for me! =)

After her appt with her pretty bandaids. =)

The day before her doctor appt, on her 4 month birthday, we took her to get her ears pierced. That was quite an experience. We went to the mall to get it done and did some shopping before we took her. By the time we were done she was getting hungry and was tired. She was starting to dose off on our way to the place. I didn't want her to be asleep when they did it, especially after reading my cousins blog and how her daughter screamed when she got woken up by a gun shooting an earring in her ear. Well I got to be the one to hold her while they did it. She does not like her ears being touched for some reason so the whole time the girl was trying to mark her ears she kept moving. So by the time we got her ears marked she was done. We had two girls do it at the same time. I was about to go through with it twice, so we got it all done in one shot. I had to hold her head still against my chest and then the girls shot the guns. Leyna let out a loud scream and then she just whimpered a little bit. I really think everything together made it worse that it really was. She was tired, hungry, being constrained, heard a loud noise from the gun and getting holes in her ears. Poor baby, but she was fine after. She looks so beautiful with her bling bling earrings! =)

Here's Leyna in the car right after getting her ears pierced. Not a single tear.

Don't you just love that messy hair? =)

Later that week we went to the therapist. She showed me some exercises/stretches to do with her each day. Leyna was really good for the lady. The lady was playing with her and she was shocked how advanced she was. She said with how good she was sitting and moving her self was really good and fast. She told me watch out cus she is gonna be crawling soon. It's been almost a month since then and she is already sitting up on her own and trying to scoot herself. Her tilting head is doing a lot better. We go in a week to see how good she really is. Hope we don't have to go back.

No Texas =(

So we were supposed to leave to Texas Wednesday morning, but on Monday morning Juan got a call from his manager telling him that they are too busy and can't afford to not have him here right now. So we both had to cancel our tickets, luckily mine can be used for a year from the purchase date. We were both so bummed about not going. We were looking forward to going to some place new and seeing our friends Brooke and Josh. Now we won't be going till next year sometime probably. The weird thing is though, on wednesday a guy that was going to the training with Juan still went. He called Juan on Wednesday wondering where Juan was. Juan told him that their manager didn't let him go cus they were too busy. Well, that guy was all mad because he had been telling their manager he didn't want to go. So they ended up sending the guy that didn't want to go, but made Juan stay, and he wanted to go. On the bright side of it all, obviously they think higher of Juan because they needed him here. He is such a stud! Such a hard worker!

Well Juan got to come home Monday night, but didn't get here til like 3 am. So we got to spent half the night together. Then he had to go to work that night at 4pm. The site he is working at is close enough to home that we get to stay here at home and not go to a hotel. Now I'm always complaining about not being able to be at my home and being stuck in a hotel. So I am very happy I get to be home now, but on the down side I still don't get my husband with me at night. He is working the night shift 6pm - 6am. So it's all kinda bitter-sweet. Guess I just can't be pleased. =) I get to be home, but I have to be home alone at night still. I hate being alone at night. I can't decide which I dislike more, being home but not having my husband at night, or be stuck in a hotel and having my husband with me... Oh well, cus I have to deal with both of them one time or another. Well, I still have some updates to do and will put them up as soon as I can, I don't have the laptop tonight again do no pics, you just get to hear me complain. =)

Going to the temple

Juan was working down in LA again, and he got a few days off while we were down there so got to go do some fun stuff. The thing we most wanted to do was go to the temple. We hadn't been to the Newport Temple so we decided to go there. It was Beautiful! I love the temple! We usually went once a month, and we hadn't gone since a week before Leyna was born (about 3 or 4 months). It was so wonderful to go and to feel close to our Heavenly Father. It diffidently wasn't the easiest trip to the temple but it was worth it. Since we had Leyna Juan went in while I stayed out with Leyna and then when he got done I went in while he watched her. It was a long day, but much needed.

Here's my attemps at getting a pic of all three of us with the temple behind us...
Where's Leyna? Where's the temple?

Well I got the temple, but still no Leyna

This was the best I could get. Not the best, but we're all in there. =)

Here's two beautiful pics of the temple

We got there around noon, and this is what it looked like once we finally left, but it was pretty to see at night.

HOLLYWOOD

On Juan's other day off we went to Hollywood blvd. It was a lot of fun, crazy too. While we were there we saw so many famous people! Here's the pics we took.

Oh did I say we saw lots of famous people? I think I forgot to add that it was just famous peoples' feet and handprints. =)

These funny immitators were the closest we got to seeing anyone famous

Chuckie was Juan's favorite so he had to take a pic with him. Kinda a scary pic, huh?
Even scarier! Get away from my baby!

And the award for "Best Husband" goes to...

And the award for "Best Wife" goes to...
There was one that said "Best Daughter", but the pic didn't turn out.

After all the fun on the Blvd. we went and ate some yummy food at California Pizza Kitchen. I LOVE the artichoke and spinach dip! I could live off of that stuff, and then I would be hugely FAT! =)

A great ending to a fun Day!

So my computer is letting me put pics up right now. Yay! I still can't load pics of my camera, but I was able to copy these off my sister's blog. These are the latest pics we got taken. They are so adorable! Hope you all enjoy as much as I do.

Isn't she just the cutest!?!

More Family Pictures

We took these awhile ago (like 2 1/2 months), before my parents left to Utah. They wanted a new Family picture with Leyna.
