Computers are duumb!!!

I have so many things to post about but my desktop is being weird and wont let me load pictures. My husband is gone up north working and took the lap top with him. So for now all I can do is write stuff.

So Leyna and I are home alone. =( This job was like 5 hours away and he'll be coming home on Monday so we didn't go because it would be a lot of driving to stay for a few days, and Juan wont even be there cus he has to stay at work all day and all night because they are short guys right now. Besides with the prices of gas it would cost way to much to drive up there. But we sure do miss him. It's lonely being home alone and not having anything to look forward to like your husband coming home for dinner and stuff. I am such a chicken too! I spook myself out at night. I have Leyna sleep with me in my bed so I'm not alone.

Well, here is what we've been up to, and what I will post pics of as soon as I get my computer...
-We went Hollywood Blvd.
-We finally got to go to the temple.
-Went to the County Fair (twice for Leyna and I) and had lots of fun!
-Leyna is 4 months old
-Leyna got her ears pierced
-Leyna got more shots. =(
-Leyna has to get physical therapy because her head leans to the right
-We got the cutest pics taken by Brooke. I can't wait to post them!
-Went to physical therapy and learned how to stretch out her neck so she doesn't have a
"leaning" head.
-We're going to Houston Texas for the whole month of October for Juan's work. So next time I post I'll be in Texas. We get to go visit Brooke and Josh while we are there, can't wait!

Be prepared to see a long post with a lot of updates next week. Seems like I can never just do a quick short post. I either put it off too long or everything seems to happen at the same time. I have so many cute pics I can't wait to post them!

Growing up and out...

I can't believe how big Leyna is getting. I took her to get more shots like a week ago (she was 3 months and 1 week old). Before they gave her shots they weighed and measured her. She is now 12lbs. 10 oz. and 24inches. At her 2 month check up she was 11 lbs 1 oz. and 23 inches. She has gained 6 lbs since she was born and grown 4 inches. Holy cow! Where does the time go! I guess when you are having fun the time just flies by! =)

After they weighed and measured her she got two shots in her legs. I was so not looking forward to it and was ready to grab her and comfort her as soon as the nurse was done poking my poor baby, and to my astonishment she didn't even cry! I was baffled! They almost didn't even phase her at all. She gave a small wimper sound with the second one and that was it. We walked out of the doctor's office so peaceful! It was unbelievable.

Thank goodness the shots went well because she has been more fussy lately because we think she is teething. Isn't 3 months kinda early? Well, I think I can already feel teeth coming in. I wish they would come in already because she is not sleeping well, drooling like crazy, is fussy (which she was never really fussy before), and she always has her hands (or anything she can grab) in her mouth. Although I am kinda scared about nursing her once she gets teeth...ouch! I guess we will see how it goes.

I don't think you can see it, but her face is covered in drool

Here she is sticking her hand and toy in her mouth.

...and rolling around

That's enough about all the sad things that poor babies have to go through...Now on a happier note, Leyna finally rolled over. She is always going on her sides while laying on her back, but has no desire to go further. The nurse said she has really good head control so it isn't anything to worry about. Well the other day we were getting ready to leave to go eat dinner. When Juan went in the room to get Leyna from her nap he found her like this.

I tried to get a picture before she woke up but I was too slow. She was not too happy to wake up on her tummy.

Then the next morning we were just playing in bed and I put her on her tummy. She was all smiling looking at me and then she just rolled over like it was nothing. I was in total shock. Later that night when Juan got home I showed him and we got it on video. I don't know how to download video from our camera other wise I would post it. It's so cute!

Leyna is like my little life-size dress up doll. I love buying clothes and shoes for her and dressing her up.

Just had to take a picture of her in her cute princess robe

Here's Leyna with her cousin Isaiah.

Starting early!
I can just tell this girl is gonna be a gabber. She just talks and talks already.
Whenever I talk on the phone to Juan I put it on speaker so she can hear him. When I put it close to her she grabs it and tries to put it in her mouth. I think it's interesting to her because the screen lights up.

Well Leyna is 3 1/2 months old. I'm so excited because she gets to start eating solids soon! I don't know why I'm so excited about it, but I can't wait! I think it's partly the reactions and funny faces you get when they try something so different than what they are used to. I'm gonna have my camera right there to catch her funny faces. I'll post those as soon as we do it.

Leyna's 3 months old

I'm horrible at keeping my blog updated. Sorry! Another month has passed since I last posted pics or anything. So I am attempting to get at least a couple pics posted. Hopefully Leyna will give me a couple minutes. I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a Mom, but it diffidently takes a lot of time. Nursing is the most time consuming, but I know it is the best thing for her and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Anyways, Leyna is 3 months old now and getting so big. I'm just loving every minute of it! She is the cutest thing. She now sleeps through most the night. She sleeps atleast 6 hours then another 4. She even slept 10 hours one night! But last week she was sleeping only 4 hour at a time, but is now back to 6+ hours. When I was pregnant everyone told me to enjoy sleeping in, because I wouldn't be able to when she was born...Well, I still get to sleep to 9, sometimes even 10 or 11. I love my sleep and apparently she takes after me. =) Thank goodness!

Leyna is such a happy baby. She is smiling and laughing so much more now. She talks all the time. I can't ever look at her and not smile, because she is always smiling back at you. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect baby!

Here's Leyna after she got her first shots a month ago. It was so sad, but they gave her cute "My Little Pony" bandaids. Now we go in again tomorrow for more shots. =( I don't like them!
Just a cute picture
Getting ready for a bath. She is holding her head up so good. I love this picture!
After the bath I dried her hair with the towel and this is what it looked like. So cute! Makes me laugh everytime I look at it
She finally started reaching out and grabbing her toys. She grabs them and tries to bring it to her face. I don't know if you can tell, but she pulled the whole thing down on her face. It was so funny watching her do this over and over again.
"BUBBLES"
We call her bubbles because she is always blowing bubbles out of her mouth and then she just lets them sit there.

Saying Good-bye

Here's Leyna saying good bye to Caiden and "BaBa" (grandpa). My family moved to Utah almost a month ago. I can't believe it's already been that long.We were sad to see you guys go, but we are excited for you at the same time. We hope to move there soon (within the next year hopefully). Can't wait to visit you guys for Thanksgiving!

Mamma with her two beautiful grand daughters
Everyone before they left
At the beach again
This time Brooke, Alaura and Jami came to visit Juan and I at our hotel. Us girls all went to the beach while Juan had to work. It was a lot of fun. Leyna got out a little more this time. But she still didn't like it because the wind. Poor baby.
Isn't Alaura so cute and so stylish.
Just chillin

After a fun day playing at the beach we got some dinner and then went walking around the shopping mall. Here we are in front of the Pier.
Alaura and "Baby Yeyna". She is so cute with her. She is gonna be such a good big sister! This was the first time I put Leyna's hair up in a pony tail. She looked like such a big girl.

Alaura put on her daddy's shoes so she could go outside. I just thought it was cute.

Here's Uncle Eric with Leyna

Here she is with Tia Isabel (Juan's sister).
I bought Leyna this new tummy time mat. She's only happy for the first few minutes then she starts getting mad.

Good-bye Jami!

One last pic with Aunt Jami before she left to Utah
This is when she found out her Aunt Jami was leaving her. =(
We will miss you!!! It was fun seeing you so much this summer. Good luck at BYU!

YES on Prop 8

Six Consequences If Proposition 8 Fails

1. Children in public schools will be taught that both traditional marriage and same-sex marriage are okay. The California Education Code already requires that health education classes instruct children about marriage. (§51890)Therefore, if the definition of marriage is changed, children will be taught that marriage is a relation between any two adults. There will be serious clashes between the secular school system and the right of parents to teach their children their own values and beliefs.

2. Churches will be sued if they refuse to allow same-sex marriage ceremonies in their religious buildings that are open to the public. Ask whether your pastor, priest, minister, bishop, or rabbi is ready to perform such marriages in your chapels and sanctuaries.

3. Religious adoption agencies will be challenged by government agencies to give up their long-held right to place children only in homes with both a mother and a father. Catholic Charities in Boston has already closed its doors because of the legalization of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts.

4. Religions that sponsor private schools and which provide housing for married students will be required to provide housing for same-sex couples, even if it runs counter to church doctrine, or lose tax exemptions and benefits.

5. Ministers who preach against same-sex marriages will be sued for hate speech and could be fined by the government. It has already happened in Canada, one of six countries that have legalized gay marriage.

6. It will cost you money. A change in the definition of marriage will bring a cascade of lawsuits. Even if courts eventually find in favor of a defender of traditional marriage (highly improbable given today’s activist judges), think of the money – your money, your church contributions – that will have to be spent on legal fees. And think of all the unintended consequences that we cannot even foresee at this time.

Where will it end? It’s your children, your grandchildren, your money, and your liberties.Lets work together to protect them.
