Happy Anniversary

Three years ago I married my best friend and the love of my life. On January 18th, 2006 Juan and I were sealed in the San Diego Temple for Time and all Eternity. I wouldn't rather be stuck with anyone else for eternity. I can't wait to see what the future holds, as long as I have Juan by my side. He's been my best friend for 7 1/2 years and I know he will continue to be there for me through everything. Not only am I blessed to have such a great husband, but he has blessed me with the other love of my life, Leyna. I am so blessed in my life and couldn't ask for anything more than to continue to share every moment of my life with him. Unfortunately we aren't able to be together for our anniversary because Juan is working and Leyna and I stayed home to see Brooke's baby be born. Hopefully we will be together soon though...

Juan,

Thank you honey for everything you do for me, and for us, for our family. You are the greatest husband. I can't imagine life without you by my side. The love we have just keeps growing stronger and stronger. I love you so much and can't wait to see you! Missing you lots! XOXO

6 Months Old

Leyna turned 6 months old on November 22, so I am almost a month behind. I just haven't had time. We were in Utah on her 6 month birthday visiting family and friends. We were pretty busy trying to see all our friends and family so I didn't have much time to do any posts while we were there. Well, what was supposed to be a 1 week trip to Utah turned into 2 weeks for Leyna, Brooke, Alaura and I since Brooke had kidney stones and had to recover before we went home. Our husbands went home to get back to work and make that money. Once we got home it just seemed like life still didn't slow down. We were home for a week and I was finally getting settle and unpacked and then we had to pack up and leave again for Juan's job. I was home alone with Leyna for a few days and didn't like it one bit. I had to get somethings done for Brooke's baby shower and soon as I was done I hurried out here to be with Juan. We are staying in Yuba City, which is north of Sacramento. It is usually about a 5 hour drive, but with Leyna it took me over 7 hours. Then we had to get settled in to our trailer. Now I've been trying to get things done for Christmas, but today I made myself take some time to do a post. I have so many pics I want to share with everyone. Now time for Updates...

When we got home from Utah Leyna went to her 6 month check up on December 11 and she weighed 17lbs. 3oz. and was 27 1/2 inches long. She gained another pound! She is now in the 90% for her heighth and 75% for her weight. She is growing so fast. She is still doing the army crawl and is getting very quick. She puts herself up on all fours but when she wants to move she just plopps her self back on her tummy. I am waiting for her to just take off crawling one of these days, I think it's gonna be soon. I think her top front teeth are wanting to come in now too. She is getting a little fussier and half the time she wont nurse until I've given her teething tablets. Here's some pics from her 6th month.

In her pretty Sunday dress. I can never seem to get any real good pics of her smiling in her Sunday dresses cus I always do it after church and by that time she is not in a happy mood and ready to take a nap. I usually get 1 or 2 pics of her before she starts fussing.
First time using a sippy cup

This is what I get to wake up to every morning. She always wakes up in such a good mood. Everytime I go get her out of bed she gives me the biggest smile. What a great way to start the day!

"Reading"

Such an innocent face

Drinking out of the sippy all by herself. She used to just bite it and get water all over herself, but now she does better.

One of the many cheap/free ways of entertainment-a wrapper from my granola bar

Another form of entertainment. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother buying her toys. =) She seems to have more fun with anything that is NOT a toy.

More interesting than a toy, but diffidently not cheap. =)

Just Chillaxin. I don't know if you can tell, but she has her feet up on the tray.

Isn't this just the cutest face to see. This was after a nap one day. She usually always wakes up soooo happy.
So I'm a bad mom and I love giving Leyna tastes of different foods. I think it's funny to see how she reacts. She hasn't had much of a reaction to many foods, but this face was after mashed potatoes. Probably a taste she isn't used to.

What a big girl! At 5 1/2 months she started sitting in a high chair. It is soooo nice being able to put her in a high chair when we go out to eat. I LOVE it!

The last time we were out of town we stayed in a hotel. This is how I kept her while I was getting ready. I wouldn't put her on the hotel floors cus they are just dirty to me, and I couldn't sit her on the bed cus she can now crawl off the edge. This was the best thing I could come up with, and it actually worked VERY well.

First time playing with a balloon. She liked it alot, but was more interested in the string.

For some reason this girly is facinated with shoes. Probably cus it's not a toy and something I would rather not have her play with. =)
Another beautiful Sunday dress, and again not very happy.

Just a cute picture. I love the outfit, especially the boots she is wearing, They are my favorite! I totally have a weakness for baby shoes. Also, again she isn't playing with a toy, she is holding her teething tablets. She seems to love this and the tylenol bottle the most.

Making that mind grow. She is getting so smart. Doesn't she look like she is really reading?

Cheesy smile!

And we'll end with a BIG happy smile....This is the cheesy grin she started doing as soon as those bottom teeth came in. If you look real close you might be able to see them.

Baby's 1st Halloween

50%Mommy

+

50% Daddy =100% CUTE

This Halloween was Leyna's 1st Halloween. When I was pregnant I told Juan he needs to make sure he got Halloween off this year because it would be her first Halloween. Well by the time he remembered to ask for it off there was already too many people taking it off so he was out of town for her first Halloween. It was kinda a bummer, but I have such an awesome sweet sister who invited us over to spend Halloween with her family. Thank you Brooke, we had a lot of fun. When I started thinking about what I wanted to do as far as costumes go, I wanted to do some kind of theme with all three of us (this is when I was assuming Juan would be off). I couldn't really find any costumes I was crazy about for Leyna and everything for me was not modest. So I took on the crazy challenge of sowing out costumes. I didn't think it would be that much work, but I didn't get to it as soon as would have liked and I did it all in the 3 days I was a "single Mother". The work paid off though. They ended up being pretty cute. Our friend from church had a Halloween party after Halloween and Juan was able to go to that so we all wore our costumes.

Before we took the kids trick or treating we took some pics of them in their Halloween shirts. This is just one I took on my camera. I'm sure the one on Brooke's are a lot better. I'll post them as soon as I get them from her.

She wasn't very happy cus she didn't get a good feeding before we went out trick or treating. (I guess the "devil" side of her decide to come out that night). No, she really wasn't bad, just not happy.
A little boy that went trick or treating with us put on Leyna's wings and he thought he could fly. It was so cute and funny, but his dad sure didn't like the idea of his son wearing girly wings. =)

All the kiddos with Brooke. I don't know if you can tell, but Leyna is sucking on a candy. That was what kept her happy the whole time. Of course it was complete mush by the end.
Leyna had a great time trying to eat all the candy.
What a great way to end the night! =o)

Party Time

Leyna loved Brooke's bow tie. I guess Brooke didn't want to be the only one with a black nose so she gave Leyna one too. =)

Our Home away from Home

A couple weeks ago we bought a new trailer! (well it's not exactly new, but it's newer, and new to us.)We bought it to use for Juan's job. Instead of staying in a hotel we get to stay in a trailer, which for me I like better. It just feels more like home. When we stay in hotels I always have to spray everything down with lysol, always wear slippers, and I won't let Leyna on the floor cus I just don't trust anyone to do my cleaning. Well now I can know if my place is clean or not and if my sheets are clean. I feel a lot more comfortable. Juan's work pays him each day he uses his trailer, so if we use it enough we will make all the money back that we spent on it. We probably won't make quite that much, but it will pay for a lot of it. We aren't planning on doing this job to long so we don't have to long to make money off of it, but we get to keep it after which makes it worth it in the end. I also like it cus I can cook. I know that sounds crazy, who would want to cook? I do so we don't have to eat fast food all the time. Gets kinda yecky after a while. I like having my well rounded meal and it gets kinda expensive to eat out at dine in restraunts all the time that have that. Well, the day we bought it they cleaned it and then the next day they showed us how everything works and then we took it out to Ventura that day for Juan's job. The RV park was walking distance to the beach. I wish we could have stayed there longer. We were in ventura for a couple days and then we had to leave an go to Anaheim. The RV park was really close to disneyland so I got to watch the fireworks at night. Leyna really enjoyed them too. We really enjoyed being in the trailer. We were gonna go to disneyland as soon as the job Juan was at was done, but he had to go straight to another job as soon as that one was done so we didn't have time, bummer.
The beach. It was all rocky, but it was still pretty.
When we were in Ventura they had fire pit at the sites so I bought all the stuff to make smores and the that night we had to leave to anaheim so I never got to make my smores.=( I wanted smores though so we roasted marshmellows on our gas stove in our trailer. =) Wasn't the same, but it was still fun.

We even let Leyna in on the fun...Well actually Juan gave her the marshmellow and we let her take a little taste of it then we took it away. She sure did enjoy it though. Can't you tell. =)

Here's some pics of the fireworks from Disneyland
